Ken Rhyne Opening for The Lovin' Spoonful ...........The 11th Annual Suwanee Day Festival
Ken Rhyne, along with his "Blistering Blues Rock" band has been selected to open for the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame Band "The Lovin' Spoonful" at this year's annual Suwanee Community Festival. The Lovin' Spoonful, an American Pop/Rock band with internationally known hits like "Do You Believe in Magic" (a top ten US hit), "Daydream", "Did You Ever Have To Make Up Your Mind" and "Summer In the City" which went to #1 on the Hot 100 Charts is arguably the most successful Pop/Rock group to have jug band roots. Their style of music and instant popularity globally opened the door for numerous other Folk/Jug Band roots bands to follow leaving a footprint in American Music History.
Ken Rhyne holds his own bragging rights in the world of music as well. The Ken Rhyne Band is referenced as one of the “TOP NINE UNSIGNED BANDS in the WORLD” (International Blues Challenge, Memphis, TN) and his album "Caught You White-Handed" went to #1 across the Canadian charts upon release in 2008, followed by an "Album of the Year" nomination. From the juke joints and taverns in Memphis, New Orleans and the Delta Blues of Mississippi to the night clubs and casinos throughout the US and Canada, Ken Rhyne is one of the most accomplished Blues/Blues Rock/Southern Rock artists of our time. His dedication to musical perfection is something he is well known for, unsurpassed by most and heard in every recording and live show.
