Star Nayea | Most Requested

The most requested song by Grammy Recording artist Star Nayea this week is "Somewhere In A Dream" which has been in rotation on multiple radio stations for the past few months.

Described as “A Sundance affair not too soon forgotten” by Robert Redford at the Sundance Film Festival, Star Nayea is no stranger to today's entertainment industry. Growing up in Detroit City she was engulfed by the Motor City's Rock 'n' Roll and Motown sounds. Those sounds helped shape the young teenager and gave her roots in SOUL | R&B | ROCK and of course BLUES, the way our forefathers of Blues and Rock intended them to be. The result is pure SOUL moving recordings.

Her highly anticipated debut album “Somewhere in a Dream” captured the “Best Independent Recording” at the 4th Annual Native American Music Awards. The five-song EP received rave reviews across Indian Country as well as Canada. “Somewhere” was placed into rotation on a variety of Triple-A radio stations in the Southwest upon release. Three of the five singles, Down to Love | Fly to You | If I Want To all topped the charts at #1 for three consecutive weeks. The heavy airplay of these songs (per listener requests) knocked music by other artist’s off the charts including Brittany Spears, Christina Aguilara, Pink and Melissa Etheridge.

Baby Blue and the title track “Somewhere in a Dream” stayed in the TOP 5 and TOP 10 spots on radio stations respectively. Music from the album is now in rotation on various radio stations throughout the U.S and Canada through the 365 Radio Network and Revolution X Radio.
