"Rock Ready" | 95.7 The Panther

Jean Beauvoir | Rocking in The USA

.."Rock Ready" | WPNT 95.7 The Panther

95.7 The Panther features music from the 1980's through Today's Hits & Metal. It boasts itself as the World's Prowlin' Rock Station while being the only Active Rock station in the Atlanta area mixed with your '90's & 2000's Alternative Rock and 80's Hairbands. "Rock Ready" by Jean Beauvoir from his Crown Of Thorns album "Faith" is now in rotation on The Panther.

Most easily recognized by his trademark Blonde Mohawk, artist Jean Beauvoir, originally with The Plasmatics, holds one of the most storied careers in music history. Introduced as the "Greatest Punk Band in the World" by Tom Snyder on his late night TV show, The Plasmatics were the most outrageous, controversial, successful Punk Rock / Metal bands ever. The band dominated the world press while influencing generations of up and coming artists and fashion icons; influences that are still being talked about and copied today.

After departing The Plasmatics, Beauvoir became just as successful as a solo artist, lead vocalist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and music executive. Signed by Richard Branson of Virgin Records for his platinum debut solo album “Drums Along The Mohawk”, which spawned the international hit "Feel the Heat" which Sylvester Stallone hand picked as the lead track for his film COBRA, to numerous other successes throughout his career including his two successful Hard Rock/Metal bands Voodoo X and Crown of Thorns.

Three albums from the Jean Beauvoir Crown Of Thorns series are as popular today as when first released: The "Crown Of Thorns" (self titled debut album) triggered a highly publicized bidding war within the industry. Even Prince, a longtime fan of Beauvoir's since his Plasmatics days began bidding against the major labels offering as high as $1M for rights to the album.

His Crown Of Thorns "Lost Cathedral" album is still referred to as "One of the Best Hard Rock" albums of its time by the press. His Crown Of Thorns "Faith" album is still considered "Probably the Best Sounding Crown Of Thorns album" by music critics.

During the recording of "Faith" Beauvoir collaborated with Bob Clearmountain (Bryan Adams, Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band) and enlisted Mark Plati (David Bowie) for the mix. When "Faith" was released through Sony Red it was hailed as "Probably the best sounding Crown Of Thorns album ever." Many believe the album "Faith" brought back Jean Beauvoir's trademark Crown Of Thorns sound as defined in the self titled "Crown Of Thorns" debut album as well as in the Crown Of Thorns "Lost Cathedral" album, keeping in tact all the elements of infectious guitar riffs, soaring hook lines and great melodies. The track “Rock Ready” from the album is featured in MTV’s ROCK BAND GAME and available for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii.

Jean Beauvoir has collaborated (written and/or produced hits) with KISS, The Ramones, John Waite, Lionel Richie, Desmond Child, *NSYNC, Doro Pesch, Debby Harry and others. He is considered one of music's Most Influential Artist's, he is ranked as one of music's "Top 50 Black Rockers of All Time" (Guitar Magazine) and is one of the World's Most Successful Bass Guitarist's.

By review, WPNT 95.7 "The Panther" is a breath of fresh air in a world consumed by commercial cookie cutter radio stations, ROCK 'n ROLL at its Best!!!
