Jean Beauvoir

..Two Revolutionary, Ground Breaking Bands

..Two Successful Melodic Rock Bands

One Multi-Platinum Solo Career

Beauvoir, originally with the Plasmatics, the most outrageous, controversial, successful Punk Rock band ever who dominated press agencies worldwide with their legendary stage antics and fierce independence. It thrust the band into the forefront of a new, underground revolution which would become known worldwide as "Punk" music. It wasn't long before they obtained a global fan base with their new attitude, sound and performances. Wherever the Plasmatics performed, legions of fans and news outlets followed.

After leaving the Plasmatics, Beauvoir toured with Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul before breaking into his multi-platinum solo career. The hit single from his solo debut album Drums Along the Mohawk was personally selected by Sylvester Stallone for the film Cobra, receiving at the time one of the largest, advertising and promotional campaigns for a Hollywood movie to date.

Beauvoir was also a longtime songwriter and producer for the legendary Ramones, hailed today as "one of the greatest Punk bands in the world" with their own Ramones Museum Berlin. The Jean Beauvoir penned and produced Ramones song "Bonzo Goes to Bitburg" retitled "My Brain is Hanging Upside Down" featured in "School Of Rock" (Jack Black) also won the New York Music Award for "Best Single" and is referred to as "brilliant" by Rolling Stone. The song is also referred to as "the best Ramones song ever written and best Joey Ramone vocal performance of their career" by Salon's Wyman.

Today, the members of the Plasmatics and the Ramones are Hailed as the Godfathers and Grand Dame (Wendy O. Williams) of Punk & Metal. Jean Beauvoir is ranked as one of music's "Top 50 Most Influential Black Rockers" and is featured on over 20-albums to date and counting. He has collaborated (written and/or produced hits) with the Ramones, KISS, John Waite, Debbie Harry, NSYNC, Lionel Richie, Nile Rodgers, Desmond Child, Doro Pesch and many others, including five Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame inductees. His music has been included in well known, successful films throughout his solo career including Cobra (Sylvester Stallone) - Pet Sematary (Stephen King) - School of Rock (Jack Black) - RV (Robin Williams) - Christmas with the Kranks (Tim Allen, Jamie Lee Curtis and Dan Aykroyd) - Rock 'n Roll High School Forever and many more.
