In early 2017, Jan Michael Lookingwolf released his newest album "Ascension" which is a musical collaboration with his band. Upon release, the album was distributed to over 700-retail outlets worldwide receiving positive reviews. Most recently, the album received three prestigious award nominations by the 17th Annual Native American Music Awards in the following categories.

Best Music Video Performance


Jan Michael Lookingwolf is a renowned Native American flute player who has garnered over 52-awards throughout his career including Native American Music Awards for Artist of the Year, Flutist of the Year, Best Record and Best Music Video. Lookingwolf has also received top ten rankings in New Age Music Charts. 


He is an enrolled Kalapuya Tribal Member of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde that resides within his indigenous homelands in Oregon. The Native American Music Awards will be held October 14, 2017 and voting is currently open to the public.
