Two Songs | Two Bands | One Artist
Two songs recorded on two separate albums by two separate Jean Beauvoir lead bands continue hitting music charts. "I'm On Fire" by Voodoo X which hit #3 last week on Xtreme Radio with "Hike It Up" by Crown Of Thorns hitting #1 on Rock Invasion radio. This week "I'm On Fire" has reached #2 on Indie Radio.
On a recent episode of the Wendy Williams show guests were treated to an iconic performance and interview by Williams with one of music's O.G. Punks from the legendary Plasmatics, hailed as a Godfather's of Punk & Metal, Jean Beauvoir.
During the interview, and in honor of being invited on the show Beauvoir chose to debut his new single "Standing On the Corner for Ya" for Williams and her fans. The single, off his upcoming new album is a tribute to music mogul Jimmy Iovine (Interscope Records). After departing the Plasmatics with his multi-platinum career in place, Jimmy Iovine was instrumental in helping Beauvoir pave the way to make Beauvoir's rock band (Crown Of Thorns) successful.
Jean Beauvoir, originally with the Plasmatics, the most outrageous, controversial and successful Punk Rock bands ever was also a longtime songwriter and producer for the Ramones. Today, both bands are hailed by music's critics and fans as the two most revolutionary bands of the Punk Rock era. Their members are recognized as the Original Punk Rockers as well as the Godfather's and Grand Dame (Wendy O. Williams) of Punk Rock and Metal. The influence of the legendary Plasmatics are still being seen, heard and talked about today. After the Plasmatics, Beauvoir went onto a successful multi-platinum solo career when his album "Drums Along the Mohawk" was released. His successful rock bands, Crown Of Thorns and Voodoo X followed.
Today, the music of Jean Beauvoir covers several genres showcasing is many talents as a vocalist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and entertainment executive. He has collaborated (written and/or produced hits) with the Ramones, KISS, John Waite, Debbie Harry, N'SYNC, Lionel Richie, Nile Rodgers, Desmond Child, Doro Pesch, Andeas Carlsson, Shinee and many others, including five Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame inductees.
His music has been included in well known, successful films throughout his solo career including Cobra (Sylvester Stallone) - Pet Sematary (Stephen King) - School of Rock (Jack Black) - RV (Robin Williams) - Christmas with the Kranks (Tim Allen, Jamie Lee Curtis and Dan Aykroyd) - Rock 'n Roll High School Forever (Corey Feldman), Why Him? and many more. The Jean Beauvoir music catalog through his company Hot Boy Music / Universal contains over 700-published songs. He is recognized as "one of music's Top 50 most influential black rockers of all time" (Guitar Magazine) and is "one of the most successful bass guitarists" in music.
Jean has a leading role in the new film "The Killers Requiem" scheduled for release in 2018. Music by Beauvoir is currently being considered for the film as well. He is a featured performer at the Melodic Rock Fest 2018 with more tour dates and projects to be announced soon.
