MRF 5 VIP Pre-Party Announcement

MRF 5 (USA) in association with One Riff Merchandising announced Monday, December 30th, Multi-instrumentalist, Songwriter, Vocalist, and Producer Jean Beauvoir has been added to the MRF 5 (USA) pre-party line up.

 

Promising to bring something different to the pre-party Beauvoir will partake in a "Storytellers" Q&A. He will delve into his illustrious career giving fans an insight into his work with The Plasmatics, The Ramones, KISS and others. Beauvoir may also perform for fans during the "Storytellers" segment as well. Beauvoir will be joining fellow MRF 5 (USA) artists FM, Boulevard, and The Radio Sun at the Exclusive Acoustic Meet & Greet event, with other artist's to be announced soon.  

 

Jean Beauvoir recently debuted his new single " Standing on the Corner for Ya" on the Wendy Williams Show, December 29, 2017. He completed filming a leading role in "The Killer's Requiem" set for release in 2019. Currently he is reviewing several more scripts submitted to him for casting considerations and working on a new Punk project. 

 

Most easily recognized by his trademark Blonde Mohawk, artist Jean Beauvoir, originally with The Plasmatics, holds one of the most storied careers in music and film. Introduced as the "Greatest Punk Band in the World" by Tom Snyder on his late night TV show, The Plasmatics, were the most outrageous, controversial and successful Punk Rock band of all time who dominated world press with their legendary stage antics and rebellious Punk Rock message. They  influenced generations of up and coming musicians and fashion icons; influences that are still being heard and seen today. His iconic Blonde Mohawk image has been an ongoing major influence on US and international pop culture in music, sports, film and TV; including several cartoons. 

 

After departing the Plasmatics, Beauvoir went on to a multi-platinum solo career. His single "Feel the Heat" from his solo debut album Drums Along the Mohawk was personally selected by Sylvester Stallone for his film  Cobra. After the success of his solo debut album he formed  two successful hard rock bands, Voodoo X and Crown Of Thorns. His music has been featured in well known, successful films throughout his solo career including Cobra (Sylvester Stallone), Pet Sematary (Stephen King), Christmas with the Kranks (Tim Allen, Dan Aykroyd),   Rock 'n Roll High School Forever (Corey Feldman),  School of Rock (Jack Black),  Shocker (Wes Craven),  Flawless (Robert DeNiro), RV (Robin Williams), and 2016's Why Him? to name a few.

To date, he has sold over 40-million records worldwide and is featured on over 200-albums. In addition to his solo career he has collaborated (written and/or produced hits) with the Ramones, KISS, John Waite, Debbie Harry, N'SYNC, Lionel Richie, Nile Rodgers, Desmond Child, Doro Pesch, Andeas Carlsson, Jonghyun (K-pop Super Group SHINEE) and  others, including five Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame inductees.

 

In addition to his time with the Plasmatics, Beauvoir was also a longtime songwriter and producer for the Ramones. Today, both bands are hailed as two of the most revolutionary bands of the twentieth century. They are the original O.G. Punks and the Godfather's and Grand Dame (Wendy O. Williams) of Punk & Metal. In 2017 the Plasmatics were featured in the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame Exhibit.
