A Godfather of Punk and Metal
Who Bet His Soul on Rock 'n Roll
Multi-platinum recording artist Jean Beauvoir releases "Rock Masterpieces: Vol. 1" through AOR Heaven. Featuring fully remastered tracks of songs from his storied career in music. The album also includes the new recording of "Standing On the Corner for Ya" which he debuted live on the Wendy Williams Show, December 29, 2017.
"Jean Beauvoir is Rock 'n Roll royalty. With a career spanning in excess of four plus decades and album sales in the tens of millions, Beauvoir is undoubtedly an icon of the past and present rock scene. 'Rock Masterpieces: Vol. 1' is a career retrospective that covers much of his post-Plasmatics creativity and the fourteen tracks that are on display here do this perfectly." Simon Cox, Power Play Rock & Metal Magazine
"So proud to have been involved with the Jean Beauvoir interview and album review in this month's Power Play Rock and Metal magazine with Simon Cox. With Jean Beauvoir being one of my all time favorite artist's in all of his projects past, present and future, it was a real honor to have been involved in this process and learn just how royal his Rock 'n Roll ass is" Bronwyn James - Rock Critic
"For our conclusion, we have the classic piano ballad ‘Standing on the Corner For Ya’ originally from the Crown of Thorns debut, but this version is from 2017. Jean shines on this song that should have been a huge hit single. In a just world, this would have been one of those songs featured on a summer blockbuster film that went multi-platinum." Gerald Stansbury, Uber Rock Magazine - Full Review at Uber Rock
Jean as the consummate performer and songwriter that he is. His new version of the Crown of Thorns track "Standing on the Corner For Ya", which he recently performed on the Wendy Williams show, ends out this collection of tracks. Any fan of Jean or the bands he has worked with including The Ramones, Little Steven, and KISS, will be able to sink their teeth into this collection of melodic rock tunes." Darren Dewis, One Riff
Beauvoir has been featured on the cover multiple magazines throughout his career in music as a member of the Plasmatics, a solo artist and songwriter/producer for the legendary Ramones and various others including KISS, Lionel Richie, N'SYNC, and John Waite. He is featured in the "ICONS of ROCK" encyclopedia, an encyclopedia of the legends who changed music forever with the likes of Elvis Presley, Ray Charles, and Chuck Berry, to name a few, and is considered one of the "Top-50 Most Influential Black Rocker's of All Time" (Guitar Magazine). He is currently featured on the July cover of Power Play Rock & Metal Magazine with a 2-page interview and music review of his new album Rock Materpieces:Vol. 1, the other feature being a music review of the album in the July edition of Uber Rock with coverage by Sweden Rock Magazine and others coming soon.
As a member of the Plasmatics, the most controversial, outrageous, successful Punk band ever and a longtime songwriter/producer for the legendary Ramones, Jean Beauvoir is forever linked to two of the most revolutionary bands of the twentieth century. Today, members of both bands are hailed as The Godfather's and Grand Dame (Wendy O. Williams) of Punk and Metal.
A recent featured performer at Melodic Rock Fest 5, Chicago, IL, where for the first time in his career he took part in a well-received Q&A by fans and industry executives, Jean will be headlining the upcoming H.E.A.T. Festival (Germany) with more performances to be announced.
No stranger to making film history, his current movie is a dual leading role in "The Killer's Requiem" that he shares in co-producing credits. The movie became part of film history as soon as shooting and editing were completed as the film was shot entirely using an iPhone with a Hollywood cast. The film, released to festivals earlier this year, has been winning major awards including "Best Movie" at the St. Tropez International Film Festival. The film is set for release in 2019.
"Rock Masterpieces: Vol. 1" released June (2018) is the best of Jean Beauvoir featuring remastered works throughout his storied career including his Voodoo X, Crown Of Thorns and solo projects featuring his explosive "Feel the Heat" , the lead single for the Sylvester Stallone movie Cobra and his newly re-recorded single "Standing on the Corner for Ya" from his highly publicized Crown Of Thorns debut album which was hand picked by music mogul Jimmy Iovine (Interscope Records, Beats by Dre) as "the song" on the album.
